Johnstown/Autumn!

My grandpa and my (sort of?) aunt came to visit my family (we’re about 5 hours away) last weekend.  We went to Johnstown because the weather was REALLY nice and the leaves we’re partially turned.  We went on the incline and such.

Yesterday I went for a walk after school to take pictures of the leaves.  Autumn is my favorite season!

More later!  :)

Art Class

We are recreating (drawing and painting) a work by a famous artist in art class ad we have to do research on them.  I chose Stuart Davis.  The paint looked cool on my friends palettes, so I took pictures.

Bird

Yesterday evening, there was a poor little helpless bird on my sidewalk.  It looked horrible and couldn’t really fly just a few feet.  I felt bad, but I didn’t know what to do about it.  I wanted so bad to nurse it back to health.

More Later!  :)

5th Birthday

One of the girls I babysit turned 5 on September 3rd and her party was this past Sunday.  It’s my mom’s best friend’s daughter.  She’s adorable.  :)

This little cake is what she wanted from me for her birthday.  No toys, nothing.  Just a cake all for herself.  That’s what she blew out her candles on.  It’s a pint sized three-layer Funfetti cake.

Vermont

The week before last, I moved my oldest sister to Vermont.  We went sightseeing a few of the days we were there, and I got some pretty good shots!

A lake near my sister’s house. It was beautiful there.

Desmo!

Gondolas.

The view from on top of one of the mountains.

The rushing water at one of the gorges.

One of the bunches of covered bridges in Vermont.

A homemade dock/diving board and swinging rope at a lake.  (There were socks hanging on a pine tree near this!)

Not in Vermont, but didn’t want to make a whole new blog to post one photo.  :)

This weekend, my family vended at the Pittsburgh Blues Festival.  I got probably some of my best shots yet there of concerts.  It made me pretty happy!

Taj Mahal

The Homemade Jamz Blues Band.
He was 16, his brother, 14 played bass, and their sister, 9, played drums.
They were amazing.

The Cause.

A lady extremely enjoying the music.

Dumpstaphunk.

S.C.O.T.S.

They were all really really good.  You should go next year.  They raised close to a million dollars this year for the Pittsburgh Food Bank.  All the money made there is donated to it.  It’s a great way to listen to amazing music and contribute to the community at the same time.  Until next time!  :)

River

My parents, sister and I looked at a few houses, not that were searching, just looking.  I made them pull over so I could take some pictures at a river.  Haha.

Beaverun Vintage Car Race

On Saturday and Sunday, my family and I worked at the Beaverun Vintage Car Race.  I got a few shots, but most that I took of the cars racing were blurry because the shutter on my camera isn’t very fast.

I got bored pretty fast, can you tell?  Lol!

Car rivalry.

The winners circle.

He didn’t know I took this, he was looking at someone who called his name.

Fourth of July

Yesterday was Independence Day and my sister and I lit sparklers from last year.  LOL.  We cooked out too, but nothing too exciting.  I got some cool pictures though!

One of the extra large sparklers.

I added KC Photos in the corner of my pictures because you never know, someone might try and steal my pictures!  I’m trying a paper route today because they have 4 openings and they called me to try it out!  Laterrrrr.  :)

Storms/Stories

Last night there were horrible storms. Lightning flashed every like, 5 seconds, not joking! And there were huge claps of thunder and lots of rain. It was crazy.

Really dark clouds that moved right above my house while me, my dad, and my mom watched the lightning.

At our yard sale, a lady that lived in my house two people before us told me and my mom about it when she lived here. She said a ghost named Kathryn/Katherine lives in my attic. The neighbor girl used to see her in the half moon window on the right side of my house and her kids saw her walk from the bathroom to the attic steps. Also, one time her two year old son was crying and she carried him downstairs on the first night they lived here so he wouldn’t wake up her other kids. She didn’t know they steps well and there was still a step but she missed it and almost fell but she felt two hands on her shoulders to prevent her from falling. THEN, she kept her recipe books that she didn’t use often in the top shelf of these really tall cabinets in the kitchen, and one day she was looking for a recipe and on top of the book she needed was a handwritten recipe book. I think its so cool! We’ve had freaky things like that, but more subtle. Its awesome to live with a ghost!

I’m pretty sure I’m going to the demolition derby tonight! I love mud and old junky cars crashing into each other.  I hope it doesn’t rain out. I haven’t been there in forever! I’m such a hick. LOL. :)
